American Red Cross responded to the scene to assist five adults and a dog displaced by the fire
In the early morning hours Wednesday (June 14), the Vancouver Fire Department responded to a reported garage fire in East Vancouver. At 1:04 a.m., Vancouver Fire units were dispatched to the report of a house fire at 16400 N.E. 12th St.
Arriving under four minutes after dispatch, units found a two story house with a fire in the attached garage. The fire did not extend into the house. Fire crews had the fire under control within 20 minutes after arriving.
In total, four engines, one ladder truck, one squad and two battalion chiefs with a total of 20 fire personnel responded to the scene.
AMR ambulance assessed one citizen on scene and released them. American Red Cross responded to the scene to assist five adults and a dog displaced by the fire. Cause of the fire is under investigation by the Clark County Fire Marshal's office.
