Annual event for garden enthusiasts is Sunday at Hockinson Community Center
The 2024 Annual Seed Swap and Giveaway Event, which benefits the North County Community Food Bank, is Sunday, Jan. 28, at the Hockinson Community Center.
The event runs from noon to 4 p.m, and will offer an array of cuttings, plants, seedlings, seeds, and valuable information.
All are welcome. The event is designed for many levels of expertise. Folks can be just starting to think about getting involved in gardening or possess a wealth of experience and knowledge to share.
Donations are not required, but in these economic times, helping neighbors in need goes a long way. The North County Community Food Bank will appreciate any donation.
The event is a celebration of friends, families, and sharing.
Those who attend will be able to network with others passionate about gardening, composting, reducing your waste, beekeeping, nature-scaping, Master Gardening, and more. The event offers the chance to pick from a multitude of flowers, herbs, and vegetable seeds. You can even pick up extra seeds so you can “grow an extra row” of vegetables in order to share with the food bank in the season ahead.
The Hockinson Community Center is located at 15916 NE 182nd Ave., in Brush Prairie.
