RIDGEFIELD – People traveling on Interstate 5 who need to take a break from the road should plan ahead.
On Monday, May 4, the Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews will close the northbound I-5 Gee Creek Rest Area, just north of Vancouver in Clark County for annual maintenance.
During the closure, crews will clean and replace roofs, check electrical and plumbing systems, fix water lines, clean the septic tank and complete landscaping work. This helps keep our rest areas safe, clean and ready for all travelers, while preventing more costly repairs in the future.
What to expect
- From 7 a.m., Monday, May 4 to 4 p.m., Friday, May 29: The northbound I-5 Gee Creek Rest Area will close between mileposts 10.8-11.6.
