30 high school seniors nominated for scholarships at banquet

VANCOUVER — More than two dozen local high school football players have been nominated for scholarships that will be awarded Wednesday night at Hudson’s Bay High School. The 26th annual National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Awards Ceremony will start at 7 p.m. The athletes have been nominated by their coaches for not only their athletic skills but also for achievement in academics, school leadership, and community citizenship, according to a release from the Clark County chapter of the NFF. The local chapter was established in 1992 and has granted more than $325,000 in scholarships.
