The Interstate Bridge Replacement Program’s (IBR) “Final Supplement Environmental Impact Statement” answered 3,606 public comments. Many answers are lies or nonsense.
My comment “Submission 2432” asked if the IBR had studied routing freight to rail and I-205. This would reduce IBR’s forecast of 28,000 daily trucks by 2040.
IBR response was “The Modified LPA, which would include light-rail transit (LRT), was developed in close coordination with federal, state, and local partners and was informed by extensive community input and data.”
IBR has invented a very creative freight solution!
