On Wednesday Thursday, the WSDOT contractor, Tapani, Inc., will close the left westbound lane and all eastbound lanes of SR 14 at the Lieser Road overpass
VANCOUVER – Travelers who use State Route 14 through Vancouver in southern Clark County, should plan for two additional overnight closures.
On Wednesday, March 20 and Thursday, March 21, the Washington State Department of Transportation’s contractor, Tapani, Inc., will close the left westbound lane and all eastbound lanes of SR 14 at the Lieser Road overpass, between mileposts 4.35 and 4.36, to continue repair work along the eastern end of the bridge.
Closing the lanes of the highway is necessary to ensure traveler safety, as the bridge work occurs directly above the travel lanes.
Closure details
- From 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 20 until 6 a.m., Thursday, March 21: Crews will fully close the eastbound lanes of SR 14 and detour all travelers to the Lieser Road off- and on-ramps at Exit 4, to detour around the closure. The left lane of westbound SR 14 will also close.
- From 8 p.m., Thursday, March 21 until 6 a.m., Friday, March 22: Crews will fully close the eastbound lanes of SR 14 and detour all travelers to the Lieser Road off- and on-ramps at Exit 4, to detour around the closure. The left lane of westbound SR 14 will also close.
During the closures, crews will work to set and brace the new girder, also known as a bridge support beam. This work requires the full closure of the bridge and travelers will need to use an alternate route.
Travelers are reminded to slow down as they approach the work zone, follow directional detour signs and expect delays.
