East Fork Christmas Trees and The Tree Wisemans sell out of trees early
RIDGEFIELD — The days of families going out to get their Christmas tree just a week or two before Christmas are long gone. Here in Clark County, u-cut Christmas tree farms have been selling hundreds of trees a day since before Thanksgiving this year.
We caught up with the folks at East Fork Christmas Trees and The Tree Wisemans to see how the season has been treating them. Since the weekend of Dec. 5-6, both have sold out and now are only selling pre-cut trees, if that.
Following COVID-19 guidelines both farms had to close down their free hot chocolate booths, but experienced few other changes. Both farms said the vast majority of their customers wore masks.
The Tree Wisemans, founded and operated by Bruce Wiseman, has been a staple of the holiday season in the county for decades. This year they decided to open before Thanksgiving to try and slow the massive crowds. It didn’t have much effect, he said.
Over at East Fork, Rob Flanagan has been building up his farm’s inventory for the last two years, but still quickly sold his available trees this year from his smaller plot in Ridgefield.
