Residents were home and able to get all of the animals out safely
At 1:53 p.m. Thursday (April 11), the Vancouver Fire Department responded to a livestock barn fire at 6010 NE 214th Ave.
Arriving units found a 20-by-50-foot barn fully involved. The space was filled with livestock feed and cover for the animals. Residents were home and able to get all of the animals out safely.
Thirteen personnel from Vancouver Fire and Clark County Fire District 3 stayed on scene for up to six hours battling the deep-seeded fire that required the assistance of a city of Vancouver excavator.
Cause of the fire was investigated by the Clark County Fire Marshal's Office.
