One vehicle required a total side removal of the driver’s side to remove the occupant
The Vancouver Fire Department was dispatched to the report of a vehicle collision on NE 18th St. and 118th Ave. in Vancouver at 10:38 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 2) morning. Additional units were later requested. Vancouver Fire had two engines, one squad, one truck and one battalion chief on scene. Two AMR ambulances were requested as well as several Vancouver Police units for traffic control.
Initial units found significant damage to both vehicles with one requiring extraction of an occupant. Vancouver Fire and AMR paramedics started care on scene.
One vehicle required a total side removal of the driver’s side to remove the occupant. Both patients were transported to local trauma hospitals with Vancouver Fire paramedics continuing care with AMR to the hospital.
The Vancouver Police department was on scene to investigate.
