The fire was deemed under control within 50 minutes
At 6:41 p.m. on Friday (Feb. 28), the Vancouver Fire Department was dispatched to the report of a shop fire at 18014 NE 18th St. near the Harmony Ridge neighborhood in Vancouver. Eight units responded from Vancouver Fire along with one engine from Camas/Washougal Fire for a total of 24 first responders.
The first Vancouver Fire engine arrived approximately four minutes later to find a 40′ X 60′ shop on fire 100 feet to the north of 18th St. Crews worked quickly to open the shop, extinguish the fire and search the structure. The fire was deemed under control within 50 minutes. The Clark County Fire Marshal’s office was on scene to investigate, no civilians or firefighters were injured in the blaze.
