Clark County auditor candidate Mitchell Kelly has faced scrutiny over his use of the “deputy county auditor” title in campaign materials and at a candidate forum. Current Auditor Greg Kimsey says Kelly legitimately holds the designation, but also noted that approximately 40 county employees serve as deputy county auditors. Kelly acknowledged that his wording at the forum could have been clearer and said he did not intend to imply that he was the sole deputy.
