Didn’t get to see this one, but here are some notes from coach Tom Schroeder: “We played with our hearts,’’ Schroeder said. “We didn’t give up. We fought to the end. The score was a lot worse than the game itself. “We had three mishaps on special teams that led to three touchdowns for them. I was proud of our guys for traveling three-and-a-half hours and playing a tough 3A team.”

MVP on offense: “Freshman Bryce Dodge played a new position and got better on every play,’’ Schroeder said. “He is going to get better and better every week.” MVPs on defense: “Once again, Riley Danberg played well at middle linebacker and Colton Lange did his job,” Schroeder said. Thoughts on Week 4 vs. Kalama: “Like I said before, it doesn’t get any easier, playing the No. 1 team in the state,’’ Schroeder said. “Big, strong and fast, but we are going to show up and put 11 dudes on 11 dues and you never know what can happen. The ball sometimes bounces funny. “Stay positive and go from there. Truly blessed to do the things we love.”
