The first of five home matches is Saturday, Dec. 14 for the Western Indoor Soccer League franchise, now in its second season
The Vancouver Lightning FC is back for a second season in the Western Indoor Soccer League, with the home opener set for Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Clark County Indoor Sports Center.
The Lightning went 2-8 last year in the franchise’s inaugural season.
The goal for the franchise is to call Clark County home for many seasons and build a community from the youth level and up, as well as provide a pathway for players to get to the professional leagues.
Tickets for home matches at the Clark County Indoor Sports Center (16311 NE 15th Street, Vancouver) are $12 for adults and $8 for 17-and-under. The Lightning’s first home match is 7 p.m. Saturday against South Sound FC.
Other home matches are Dec. 21, Jan. 18, Jan. 25, and Feb. 15. All matches kick off at 7 p.m.
The Western Indoor Soccer League was founded in 2014. It has seven teams in Western Washington, from Bellingham to Vancouver. It serves as a feeder league for the Major Arena Soccer League, the top-level arena soccer league in the United States.
