Rockslide forced closure of northbound lanes for more than three hours Monday
An emergency closure of all northbound lanes of I-5 near Dike Road, north of Woodland, took place Monday afternoon at about 3:17 p.m. Those lanes were reopened at about 6:30 p.m.
The closure was due to a debris and rock slide. WSDOT crews were on site, evaluating the stability of the hillside to see if it’s safe to remove debris and clear the roadway. There was no estimated time for reopening the roadway, and there was no official detour.
Drivers were told to use an alternate route and avoid the area.
