Tix for Tots is hosting a free community event on Sat., Dec. 20, at 1 p.m. at Church on the Rock in Battle Ground called “No Room at the Inn.” It’s an original Nativity performance written by Tix and Tots staff and performed by talented local actors, singers, and dancers.
There will be a free hot chocolate bar, cotton candy, and popcorn, other treats for sale, and a 50/50 raffle to raise money in support of the mission of Tix for Tots.
Tix for Tots provides tickets to events and activities for our community’s most vulnerable youth, seniors, and families. It was started by 10-year-old Adele Anaya, who grew concerned that so many children would miss out on valuable life experiences after discussions with her family regarding rising costs.
In addition to the show and treats, Tix for Tots will also be collecting tents, tarps, sleeping bags, gloves, beanies, rain ponchos, heavy jackets, and warmer clothes for the homeless outreach ministry Church in the Streets, as well as teenage toiletry items – shampoo, conditioner, face wash, body wash, loofahs, face wipes, body spray, deodorant, etc. – for Love in Action.
Tix for Tots encourages area residents to invite their friends, family, neighbors, and even strangers as the show dives into the classic nativity story, plus a little extra.
