VANCOUVER — ThePort of Vancouver USA will hold a public workshop immediately after the regularly scheduledAug. 14 Board of Commissioners meeting to present a comprehensive draft plan and share vision statement language with the commission.The port’s current vision statement is “A premier port that is globally recognized and well capitalized with state-of-the-industry facilities, infrastructure and service providing accountable economic benefit.” At theAug. 2 workshop, the commission expressed interest in adjusting the port’s vision statement to reflect how the community could look if the port is successful in its mission. Port consultant Maul Foster & Alongi recorded commissioner feedback and developed vision statement language for consideration at the Aug. 14 workshop.Materials presented Aug. 14 will be posted atwww.portvanusa.com/key-projects/strategic-plan following the workshop.The draft plan will be open for public comment from Aug. 14 through Sept. 4.
