Rain, rain go away, and … how about that? The rain did stop for some of the parade. Then more rain. And some dry spells. Rain. Dry.
You know how it goes.
Hey, folks around here understand that a celebration in June in Washington means there could still be some rainy days.
But the parade must go on, as well as frog jumping, the carnival, and more.
Planters Days in Woodland officially ends on Sunday.
Saturday, though, is always special.

Clark County Today was in Woodland on Thursday, as well, at the opening ceremonies. Nora Taylor was named Miss Woodland, with Alexis Alplanalp and Savannah Doughty serving as princesses in the court.
Doughty grew up in a military family and moved around a lot in her younger days before her family found Woodland.
“Woodland is finally somewhere I felt loved by everyone around me,” Doughty said. “If you come here, everybody has a connection to somebody.”
Planters Days, she said, is the event where that loving feeling is shared by all at the same time.
Or, as the motto of this year’s celebration says, “All Together Now.”
“It brings everybody together,” Doughty said of Planters Says. “This is where we can bond. This is where we can be a community and have positivity. Everybody is supported and loved.”
