Plan for overnight lane and ramp closures on northbound I-5 in Vancouver, June 17–19

Beginning Tuesday, the WSDOT maintenance crews continue work to improve the driving surface along northbound I-5 and nearby ramps

VANCOUVER – Travelers who use Interstate 5 in Clark County should plan for overnight closures and delays. 

Beginning Tuesday, June 17, the Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews continue work to improve the driving surface along northbound I-5 and nearby ramps.  

 This work includes repaving and sealing worn sections of pavement to smooth the driving surface and extend the life of the highway. 

What to expect 

From 10 p.m., Tuesday, June 17 to 5 a.m., Wednesday, June 18: 

• The right and center lanes of northbound I-5 between East McLoughlin Boulevard at milepost 1.27 and East 33rd Street near milepost 1.94 will close for paving work. 
• The westbound State Route 14 off-ramps to City Center and northbound I-5, near the Interstate Bridge at milepost 0.1, will close. 

 From 10 p.m., Wednesday, June 18 to 5 a.m., Thursday, June 19: 

• The right and center lanes of northbound I-5 between the Interstate Bridge at milepost 1.4 and the State Route 500 interchange at milepost 2 will close for paving work.  
• The northbound Mill Plain off-ramp (Exit 1C), near West Reserve Street at milepost 1.4, will close.   

• The northbound Fourth Plain Boulevard off-ramp (Exit 1D), near East Mill Plain Boulevard at milepost 0.9, will close.
• The northbound Fourth Plain Boulevard on-ramp near East Mill Plain Boulevard at milepost 0.1, will close.     

  Travelers should expect nighttime delays and use a different route.
