Residents and visitors enjoyed a fun-filled weekend at the annual Planters Days celebration in Woodland, featuring a carnival, parades, barbecues, frog jumps, bed races, and captivating photographs by local artist Mike Schultz.

Area residents and visitors spent the June 15-18 weekend celebrating the annual Planters Days event in Woodland. Planters Days is the annual community celebration held in Woodland. It has been a tradition for over 100 years and serves as a great way for attendees to connect with the community. The carnival includes rides, games, food, and live music from local bands.
The 2023 Planters Days celebration got underway Thursday (June 15) with the carnival. The Planter Days carnival is run by Cowlitz County Fire District 1. All proceeds from the carnival helps to support their programs and services. Also on Thursday was the Children’s Parade, Pet Parade, Queen’s Coronation and Fireworks Show.

On Saturday, a full day of activities took place, centered around the 2023 Planters Days Parade. The Fireman’s Bar-B-Que, 56th annual Frog Jump, and 19th annual Bed Races were among the many highlights.
