VANCOUVER – Travelers in both directions of Interstate 5 in Vancouver should plan for a full closure of the highway.
On Sunday, April 13, Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews along with Clark County Public Utilities will temporarily close northbound and southbound I-5 to move overhead power lines to new utility poles.
What to expect
- Sunday, April 13, both directions of I-5 and the following on- and off-ramps will close between Exits 9 and 11, from 1-5 a.m.:
- On- and off-ramps at Exit 9 for Northeast 179th Street
- On- and off-ramps at Exit 11 for SR 502
Travelers in both directions of I-5 will follow a signed detour using Exits 9 and 11 and Northeast 10th Avenue to rejoin I-5. Expect delays and plan extra travel time.
