When I vote in a judicial race, I want someone who has actually done the work. That is why I am supporting Judge Dave Larson (Ret.) for Washington State Supreme Court, Position 5.
I have met with Judge Larson and heard him speak. Judge Larson is the real deal! He is passionate about the judicial system. I am convinced beyond doubt that our entire state will benefit if he is elected. He is not a career politician. He has 41 years of significant legal experience, including 23 years as a civil trial lawyer and 18 years as a trial judge. That is the real courtroom experience, earned over decades, that our Supreme Court needs.
What I appreciate most is that Judge Larson has not and will not treat his position as a partisan prize. He insists on fairness, the rule of law, and treats every person who walks into a courtroom with dignity and respect. In a moment when so much feels divided, that steadiness matters. A judge should belong to all of us, not to one party.
He also has a plan that has been recognized on a national level to help our communities better deal with crime and addiction. As he says, we do not need to be tougher or softer on crime; we need to be smarter on crime.
Ballots are already arriving for the August 4 primary. I enthusiastically hope you will join me in voting for Dave Larson. Our Supreme Court needs a justice who has spent a lifetime earning the seat and our confidence. Judge Larson is that candidate!
