One of the victims, an adult female, died from her injuries
On Wednesday (March 19) at about 2:12 p.m. officers from the Battle Ground Police Department were dispatched to a report of a traffic accident on SW 20th Avenue, just south of Main Street.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that two occupants from one of the involved vehicles had sustained significant injuries. Emergency medical personnel responded, and both individuals were transported to a local hospital by ambulance for treatment. One of the individuals, an adult female, later died from her injuries.
Preliminary information indicates that one of the vehicles involved was exiting onto southbound SW 20th Avenue from a private driveway when it was struck by a second vehicle, also traveling southbound on SW 20th Avenue.
Due to the severity of the injuries, deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit assisted the Battle Ground Police Department with the investigation. A portion of SW 20th Avenue, between W. Main Street and SW 2nd Street, was closed while police investigated the incident.
