BATTLE GROUND – Travelers who use State Route 503 near the Rock Creek Road intersection should plan for nighttime delays.
Starting Monday (Sept. 9), contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation, will use intermittent single-lane closures with flaggers overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., for paving work as part of the SR 503 / NE Rock Creek Rd project.
What travelers need to know
- From 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 9 until 6 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10: Travelers along both directions of SR 503, near Rock Creek Road at milepost 13.7, will alternate intermittently through a single lane.
- From 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10 until 6 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 11: Travelers along both directions of SR 503, near Rock Creek Road at milepost 13.7, will alternate intermittently through a single lane.
During paving work, flaggers will guide travelers through the area, and delays of up to 20 minutes should be expected. A reminder to please be patient and stay focused when traveling in work zones.
Although there is still more work to be done, paving work is part of the final steps needed to fully reopen the roundabout. This $2.3 million dollar project is scheduled for completion this fall.
