On Friday, May 2, Washington State Department of Transportation bridge maintenance crews will inspect the entire bridge deck, which requires temporary full closures.
These yearly inspections help crews check the bridge’s condition and make sure it stays safe and structurally sound.
What to expect
- Friday, May 2: The SR 503 Yale Bridge at milepost 27.8, over Lake Merwin, will temporarily close from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Flaggers will stop traffic on either side of the bridge for up to 20-minutes at a time during the annual inspection.
Travelers should slow down as they approach the work zone, follow flaggers instructions, have patience, and expect delays.
