On Friday, March 28, Washington State Department of Transportation bridge maintenance crews will finish annual bridge inspections, requiring a temporary bridge closure. Crews started inspections on March 5 and 6 but were unable to finish due to equipment issues.
What to expect
- Friday, March 28: The SR 503 Yale Bridge at milepost 27.8, over Lake Merwin, will temporarily close from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Flaggers will stop traffic on either side of the bridge for up to 20-minutes at a time during inspections.
Travelers should slow down as they approach the work zone, follow flaggers instructions, have patience, and expect delays.
