Starting Tuesday, a WSDOT contractor will close multiple on- and off-ramps near Northeast Stapleton Road and Northeast 42nd Avenue
VANCOUVER– Travelers who use State Route 500 in Vancouver should plan ahead.
Starting Tuesday, Nov. 12, Washington State Department of Transportation contractor, Cascade Bridge LLC, will close multiple on- and off-ramps near Northeast Stapleton Road and Northeast 42nd Avenue. During the ramp closures, crews will be working on new sidewalks, curbs and electrical components for a project that will build a new pedestrian overcrossing, making it easier for people walking, biking or rolling across the highway.
What to expect
Westbound SR 500
- Tuesday, Nov. 12 to Wednesday, Nov. 13: On- and off-ramps at Northeast 42nd Avenue will be closed daily for electrical work from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Note: No closures are scheduled on Veterans Day (Monday, Nov. 11).
Eastbound on- and off-ramps:
- Tuesday, Nov. 12 to Friday, Nov. 15: The SR 500 eastbound on and off-ramps to Northeast Stapleton Road, near milepost 2.4, will be closed continuously for sidewalk work.
Nighttime Single-Lane Closures
- Tuesday, Nov. 12 to the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 13:
- Eastbound: A single lane will close overnight between Northeast Falk Road and Northeast Stapleton Road from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Westbound: A single lane will close overnight between Northeast 54th Avenue and Northeast 42nd Avenue from 8:30 p.m. to 4 a.m.
- Wednesday, Nov. 13 to the morning of Thursday, Nov. 14:
- Eastbound: A single lane will close overnight between Northeast Falk Road and Northeast Stapleton Road from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Westbound A single lane will close overnight between Northeast 54th Avenue and Northeast 42nd Avenue from 8:30 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Travelers are reminded to slow down as they approach the work zone, follow directional signs and expect delays.
