Starting Monday, WSDOT bridge maintenance crews will close a single lane to wash and flush the bridge with water to remove dirt and debris
LA CENTER – People who travel along the northbound Interstate 5 East Fork Lewis River Bridge, at milepost 18 near La Center, should plan ahead for daytime delays.
Starting Monday (Dec. 9), the Washington State Department of Transportation bridge maintenance crews will close a single lane to wash and flush the bridge with water to remove dirt and debris. This annual maintenance work keeps the bridge in good condition and extends its lifespan.
What to expect
- Monday, Dec. 9, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.: The right lane of northbound I-5 at the East Fork Lewis River Bridge (milepost 18), will be closed.
- Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.: The left lane of northbound I-5 at the East Fork Lewis River Bridge (milepost 18), will be closed
- During bridge repair work, two travel lanes will remain open.
Travelers are reminded to slow down through the work zone, stay focused and have patience.
