Main St. Photo courtesy of the city of Battle GroundCity officials invite the community to gather with them to honor all who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces and to remember 31 honored veterans, local sons who died in service to our country and whose names are engraved on the wall of the Battle Ground Veterans Memorial.A Yellow Ribbon event to support the Battle Ground Veterans Memorial Fund will be held on Wed., Nov. 9, from 5-8 p.m., at the Battle Ground Burgerville located at 217 W. Main St., where 10 percent of all sales will be donated to the Veterans Memorial Fund. These nine men, veterans who represent every branch of service — Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard, will be recognized at tonight's City Council meeting,on the city's website and on the city's Facebook page, as accounts of their service will be shared. Those nine veterans are:
