Carnival and car cruise scheduled for Friday, with parade, car show, and fireworks on Saturday
Harvest Days, brought to the community by the Battle Ground Festivals Association, got started earlier today and will continue with events Friday night and all day and night Saturday.
Among the bigger events on Friday, the mini Midway carnival opens at 5 p.m. at Battle Ground High School.
A beer garden, with live music from Wayne Hanley, is at North Parkway and Main Street. The garden opens at 4 p.m., with music starting at 5 p.m.
And, of course, a cruise goes from 6 to 10 p.m. on Main Street on Friday.
Saturday’s festivities begin early and will go late.
Fire District 3 will provide a pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. at Battle Ground High School. Cost is $7 for an individual or $25 for a family.
The Harvest Days Parade begins at 10 a.m.
The carnival opens at 11 a.m.
A lowrider car show, featuring other classic cars as well, goes from 2 to 6 p.m. at Playmakers, and Margarita Factory.
The grand finale will feature a fireworks display at 10 p.m.
In between, there will be a book sale, a little firefighter’s challenge, an outdoor market, a BMX bike show, and a Fun Fest.
