Vancouver Police investigate murder-suicide

VANCOUVER – On Tuesday (Oct. 13) at about 10:45 p.m., Vancouver Police responded to an apartment complex in the 2600 block of NE Neals Lane for a welfare check. A family member reported that her sister lived there with her boyfriend, that she had missed work that day, and family members had not heard from her.

Friends and family went to the complex earlier in the day, saw her car in the parking lot and knocked on the door but no one answered. Officers made entry to the apartment and located a male and a female with gunshot wounds. Both were deceased.

The Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes Unit is investigating this as a murder-suicide. The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the official cause and manner of death and the identities of both individuals. Nothing additional is being released at this time.
