VANCOUVER — At approximately 11:13 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 8), Vancouver Fire responded to a commercial structure fire at Cedar Creek Cannabis, located at 5717 NE 121st Ave.
Vancouver Fire personnel, along with frontline personnel and apparatus from Clark County Fire District 3 responding on the second alarm, arrived to find a working fire with smoke showing from the building. A total of 43 VFD personnel responded to the incident.
Firefighters established two separate water supplies and initiated an interior attack from three sides of the building. Fire control was quickly obtained, with the fire brought under control within approximately 20 minutes of crews arriving on scene. Firefighters worked quickly and effectively to locate the source of the fire and extinguish it.
Commercial structure fires present significant challenges and hazards for firefighters due to building construction, unusual or complex layouts, high-powered electrical and mechanical equipment, and the potential presence of chemicals, gases, and other hazardous materials.
No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
