At 5:59 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 19), the Vancouver Fire Department was dispatched to the report of a car on fire in a garage at 1822 SE Solomon Loop in Vancouver.
The first Vancouver fire engine arrived just six and a half minutes later to find fire in the garage. Crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire in the garage and stopped the spread of fire to the rest of the house and removed smoke from the structure.
Vancouver Fire responded with 11 units and 28 firefighters including one fire engine from Camas-Washougal Fire Department.
There was one minor injury reported by the homeowner. The Vancouver Fire Marshal’s office was on scene investigating.
