Shooting suspect self-surrenders to Vancouver Police

Saturday’s shooting at the Off-Ramp Sports Bar left a 43-year-old male deceased in the parking lot

VANCOUVER – On Sunday (Jan. 4), the suspect in the Saturday shooting at an area sports bar self-surrendered at the Vancouver Police Department West Precinct. 

Jared D. Taylor, 28 years old, was arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail for Murder II and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. 

On Saturday (Jan. 3) at about 12:50 a.m., Vancouver Police responded to the Off-Ramp Sports Bar at 400 NE 112^th Avenue for the report of a shooting. 

According to witnesses, two males got into an argument, went outside and shortly after, patrons heard gunshots. The suspect fled the scene. When police arrived, they located a 43-year-old male deceased in the parking lot.

The Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes Unit is investigating. There is not believed to be a threat to the public.
