CAMAS — RedDoor Gallery invites art lovers, collectors and the community to celebrate the arrival of fall at its Camas First Friday Artist Reception on Friday (Sept. 4) from 5–8 p.m. The evening will feature the unveiling of a new exhibit showcasing original oil paintings by acclaimed artists Ray Baxter and Sarah Bang.
Known for bringing together exceptional local artists along with a diverse collection of fine art, RedDoor Gallery transforms its Camas gallery into an inspiring showcase of fresh Autumn works, rich color and distinctive artistic perspectives.
“Both Baxter and Bang are accomplished oil painters and we’re thrilled to showcase Sarah Bang’s new ‘Fierce II’ and Ray Baxter’s 60x48 oil titled ‘Pathway’ along with many other new works,” said Liz Pike, artist and owner of RedDoor Gallery.
Guests attending the September First Friday reception will have the opportunity to meet many of the 16 artists who make RedDoor their gallery home, view latest works, enjoy refreshments and mingle with fellow art enthusiasts and collectors. The event is free and open to the public.
“First Friday is always a special evening at RedDoor Gallery because it gives our community the chance to experience new art, meet many of our talented artists and discover the inspiration behind the work,” added Pike. “All of our artists bring unique artistic voices to RedDoor, and we’re excited to introduce their newest works to Camas.”
The September reception marks the beginning of a new season at RedDoor Gallery, with an ever-changing collection of fine art. See stunning new clay works by Diane Gale and Matthew Clarkson. Oil painters Wendy Davis, Cheryl Folkers and Cheryl Mathieson, watercolor artist Heather McCullough, and acrylic artist George Throop are each unveiling new pieces.
