The GRO Parade of Homes is ready for its second week of highlighting the latest in home design, technology, as well as outdoor living.
This year’s parade opened with a VIP night on Thursday, Sept. 10, followed by the general public opening on Friday, Sept. 11.
The parade runs through Sept. 27, but it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
That means the second week begins on Wednesday, with one price to tour eight luxurious homes in the Salmon Creek area of Vancouver.
The Parade is put on by the Building Industry Association of Clark County.
This week also features Industry and Design Day on Thursday, Sept. 17. There are Color and Design tours from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Join experts for the “Designed for Success” panel discussion at 3 p.m. Then there is an Industry Professionals White Party from 4 to 7 p.m.
General admission is $20, with $1 from every ticket going to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Children ages 3 to 12 are $5, with 100 percent of those proceeds going to the hospital.
This year’s parade is located in the Emerald Grove development, 15810 NW 11th Avenue, Vancouver. Hours are 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays.
“The GRO Parade of Homes celebrates the very best in residential design, construction, and innovation,” according to the parade’s website. “Each year, our builders open the doors to their newest projects, showcasing a wide range of styles, finishes, and features.”
There are no hills at this year’s parade, with all eight homes on the same street for easy access. Parking is available within walking distance of the homes, as well.
