Medical costs expected to be significant for 9-year-old who found himself trapped under a school bus Tuesday in Vancouver
The 9-year-old boy who was riding his bicycle and had an incident with a school bus on Tuesday that left him trapped under the bus is facing a long and costly recovery, according to a family member.

“He’s got a long road to recovery. It will include multiple surgeries and weeks stay in the hospital,” posted Irina Pavily, the victim’s aunt. “Please keep this family and my sweet nephew in your prayers, and if you are able to, please donate to help with covering the financial gap.”
Pavily said the parents will likely miss a lot of work to be with their son, while also taking care of their other three children.
