Despite medical efforts, the pedestrian died from his injuries
On Thursday (March 4) at about 9:38 p.m., deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a traffic collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of NE 29th Avenue and NE 147th Street.
Upon arrival, deputies found an injured pedestrian lying face-down in the roadway. The individual was breathing and was immediately transported by ambulance to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. Despite medical efforts, the pedestrian died from his injuries.
The driver of the involved vehicle, a Toyota Tundra, had contacted 9-1-1 to report the incident and remained at the scene. The driver cooperated fully with investigators and showed no signs of impairment.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit responded to the scene and is investigating.
The identity of the deceased and the cause and manner of death can be requested through the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office.
