Detectives from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit processed the collision scene and will continue to investigate the cause of the fatal collision
On Saturday (July 19) at about 7:40 a.m., 9-1-1 received an automated crash alert near the intersection of SE 20th St and SE 352nd Ave.
Fire personnel from Station 94 were first to arrive on scene. They found a silver Toyota Prius occupied by three juvenile females had collided with a Kia SUV. One of the passengers located in the back seat of the Toyota Prius was a 17-year-old female who was severely injured during the collision. Life-saving measures were started and she was transported to Peace Health Southwest where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The other 17-year-old driver and passenger were treated for minor injuries. The driver of the Kia remained on scene and cooperated with investigators. Detectives from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit processed the collision scene and will continue to investigate the cause of the fatal collision.
