For those who serve, we salute you.
That’s the attitude of the Clark County Fair.
Tuesday is Military Appreciation Day at the Clark County Fair, with discounts for those with military ID.
And for all who did not get a chance to see mutton bustin’ and Hell on Hooves Bull Riding on Monday, no problem. Tuesday brings more of the same action at the grandstands.
Also, one of the biggest attractions to come to the fair in some time — and we do mean big — the Budweiser Clydesdales might be on display starting Tuesday.
To be fair to the fair, organizers were not 100-percent sure of the availability of the Clydesdales for Tuesday. The famous horses were expected to arrive in Clark County on Monday afternoon/evening. They will be performing at the fair in a special parade on Thursday. In the meantime, there are expected to be hours when the horses are on display at their stables on Tuesday, Wednesday, and other days throughout the week.
For now, consider the Clydesdales’ schedule as “subject to change.” But they will be performing at the fair on Thursday and Sunday.
From some large horses, to one large camel, Curly, and his friends, will be available for pictures and a visit from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Curly is one of the “attractions” that is every day at this year’s fair.
That includes the Featured Attraction of Ice Age Adventures, Dogtown, the Pirate’s Parrot Live Bird Show, and the All Creatures Barnyard Races.
The headliner at the grandstands, though, is little ones riding sheep and adults riding bulls. There is Mutton Bustin’ at 2 p.m., with the finals for those little ones to ride during breaks of the Hell on Hooves Bull Riding, which starts at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The grandstand attractions will transition into motorsports on Wednesday.
