Levi Kitchen will always be a fan favorite at his hometown track

Levi Kitchen did not capitalize on his momentum this week in the Pro Motocross Championship series, but he was a fan favorite at the Washougal MX Park.
Naturally.
After all, Kitchen grew up just up the road from the track.
Kitchen, who won both motos at the previous stop on the series, finished sixth overall in the 250 class at the MotoSport.com Washougal National on Saturday. Kitchen struggled to a 12th-place finish in the first moto, then rebounded to be among the leaders in the second moto before finishing fourth, earning 28 points.
Haiden Deegan of California, the series points leader, won the Washougal overall in a tiebreaker, finishing 2-1 in motos. Tom Vialle of France was 1-2 and finished second.
Deegan (361)and Vialle (307 are first and second in the points race, while Kitchen (291) is in third place with three rounds remaining in the motocross season.
Chase Sexton of Illinois had no trouble winning the 450 overall at Washougal, claiming both motos. He increased his points lead. Hunter Lawrence of Australia is second in points but finished fourth in Washougal.
The Washougal National is annually Clark County’s biggest one-day sporting event, often drawing more than 20,000 fans.
