On Friday (Sept. 18) at about 8:01 a.m., Camas Police and Camas-Washougal Fire were dispatched to an accident involving a vehicle into the side of a residence at the 2600 block of NW Kent Street in Camas.
The vehicle was backing into a parking stall of an adjacent business, accelerated, jumped over the curb, and proceeded to travel into the side of a town house.
No one was injured in this collision, but there was extensive damage to both the vehicle and the town house.
The investigation showed the driver had confused the accelerator for the brake pedal, causing the vehicle to lurch backwards into the town house.
