Vancouver is battling Seattle for first place in the Pacific Northwest Division of The Basketball League
The “We Got Next!” Community Fest, celebrating basketball, local vendors, and area youth, is Saturday afternoon and into the evening, with the Vancouver Volcanoes ending the night with their final home game of their regular season.
The We Got Next event is from 3 to 7 p.m. outside Hudson’s Bay High School. There will be youth clinics, local vendors, outdoor courts for all ages, and more activities. The event is sponsored by the Volcanoes and Hoops for Hope.
Those attending the festival will get into that night’s game for free. Tip-off between Vancouver and Seattle is 7 p.m. at Hudson’s Bay High School. The Volcanoes and SuperHawks are battling for first place in the Pacific Northwest Division, as well as a first-round bye for the upcoming playoffs in The Basketball League.
The Volcanoes play in Salem on Friday night before returning home for Saturday afternoon’s festival and then Saturday night’s game.
Last week, the Volcanoes took a pair of victories against the Eugene Jaguars to improve to 14-4 this season.
