Kathryn (Kay) Ebert was elected first vice president of the International Chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood at the organization’s biennial convention, September 4-6, 2025 in Phoenix, Arizona. She is a member of Chapter IN, Vancouver, Washington.
As first vice president, Ebert provides guidance to the P.E.O. Foundation and serves as ex-officio member of the Cottey College board of trustees.
Ebert attended Beloit College in Wisconsin. For over 30 years, her professional career focused on employee safety and health, the majority of that time with a regional airline and the remainder with grocery warehousing and transport. Her focus was on providing tools, training and removing barriers so that employees could excel at their jobs while still enjoying their lives away from work. She is a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians.
P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) has been motivating, educating and celebrating women for more than 150 years. What started with a bond of friendship among seven women in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, is now one of the oldest women’s organizations in North America with more than 5,000 chapters.
