Vancouver Fire Department units responded to a house fire at 2406 NE 166th Court just after 6 p.m. Tuesday evening (March 24).
First-arriving units found a two-story home with a living room fire, which crews aggressively extinguished, preventing it from spreading. However, thick smoke filled the rest of the home, displacing five residents. No injuries were reported.
Vancouver Fire Department officials remind residents that working smoke detectors save lives and suggest checking them yearly.
