The Clark County Sheriff’s Office says two males were found shot, and it appears to be a murder-suicide between two people with no apparent connection
Two males died from gunshot wounds suffered at a Hazel Dell convenience store, and law enforcement believes it was a murder-suicide between two people with no apparent connection.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Clark County Fire District 6, and AMR were dispatched to a shooting call at the 7-11 store at 6212 NE Highway 99 in Vancouver at 5:22 p.m. Friday.
First responders found two males inside the store with gunshot wounds. Both were transported to a hospital where both were later declared deceased.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded and is investigating.
Based on initial statements and evidence, this incident appears to be a murder-suicide. The deceased victim was an employee at the store and had no apparent connection with the deceased suspect, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
Names of the deceased will be released at a later date by the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office.
