Performers will donate their time and talents, putting on a show Thursday at 54-40 Brewing Taproom in Washougal
A song circle on Thursday night in Washougal is set to be used as a fundraiser for a planned festival concert in Washougal this summer.
The monthly Song Circle at 54-40 Brewing has become a popular event to connect regional songwriters with a local audience. The Washougal Songcraft Festival coordinates these events, ensuring that artists receive a stipend for performing.
This week, though, festival founders and friends will donate their performances for a special edition of the Washougal Song Circle, raising funds for the Washougal Songcraft Festival over the weekend of Aug 11-13. The festival will highlight 16 regional songwriters for three days of concerts and workshops.
Thursday’s song circle will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at 54-40 Brewing Taproom, 3801 S. Truman Street, No. 1, in Washougal.
Scheduled to perform include: Raven Fables, C.A. Corbell, Mary Reed and Jimi Warford, and other friends and special guests.
Thursday’s event is free but donations are encouraged. All ages are welcome.
Washougal Songcraft Circle is a 501(c)3 organization. Its mission is to foster, share, and celebrate the craft of songwriting and to develop the performing arts and creative community of Washougal and the surrounding region.
