The reopening means all Clark County Goodwill locations are now back open for business
SALMON CREEK — After months of renovation, and a virus-caused delay, the Goodwill store on NE 20th Avenue in Salmon Creek is finally back open today.
The grand reopening of that location means all Clark County Goodwill retail locations, along with the Outlet store on NE 117th Avenue (SR-503), are back open. The other six locations opened on June 7, after Clark County was allowed to enter Phase 2 of reopening.
With the Salmon Creek store’s reopening, Goodwill said in a news release, 240 people are back to work. More than 1,700 employees are back on the payroll throughout the Goodwill Industries of the Columbia-Willamette system.
Most of Goodwill’s retail stores are operating from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., in order to allow time for employees to clean and sanitize. The outlet store is currently open from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m., and limited to anyone over the age of 12, and no more than three people shopping together.
Masks are required at all Goodwill locations for anyone over the age of 5. People with a medical condition which prevents them from wearing a mask should contact the company for accommodations by calling Goodwill’s Human Resources Department at 503-238-6100 (ext. 6017), Monday-Friday.
Donations are also now being accepted at all locations, though the process has changed. Goodwill has bins set up outside, and is asking that people sort their donations ahead of time to speed up the process. Those categories include:
• Clothing/Linens
• Shoes/Accessories
• Electronics/Appliances
• Housewares
• Books/Media
• Other
Any items that are wet cannot be accepted at this time. Donations are being cleaned as much as possible, and isolated for a set amount of time before being moved onto the retail floor.
