RedDoor Gallery in Camas is unveiling several new pieces of fine art by popular gallery artist George Throop along with other represented artists in time for Camas First Friday, Oct. 3. Be the first to see a stunning new Autumn exhibit at RedDoor Gallery’s upscale First Friday reception from 5-8 p.m. See George’s latest works as he continues on his exceptional artistic journey.
“We are so proud of the tremendous success that George Throop is having,” said Liz Pike, artist and owner of RedDoor Gallery. “When George joined us last October, his work was beautiful and vibrant. It was an easy decision to jury him into RedDoor Gallery. But here we are – a year later – and his art continues to soar with unprecedented sales. Our gallery patrons love his vibrant colors and recognize his unique style and talent.”
Pike noted inspiration for George’s latest series comes from the land of Oz. The public is invited to complimentary refreshments at this anticipated cultural gathering on the First Friday of each month in Camas.
The Oct. 3 artist reception also features dozens of original art pieces created last week at the Camas Plein-Air Event. Much of the painted plein-air works remain on exhibit and available for purchase at RedDoor Gallery through Oct. 25.
“Camas is a destination for many tourists throughout the year,” said Pike. “Our gallery visitors are always looking for charming paintings of Downtown Camas to take home with them. This month-long October exhibit provides a perfect opportunity to do that.”
Also on Friday, Oct. 3, the public is invited to vote for their favorite carved pumpkin created by RedDoor Gallery’s professional artists beginning at 5 p.m. RedDoor Gallery will be presenting top awards to winning RedDoor Gallery artists which will be awarded at 7:15 p.m. inside the gallery. Stop by anytime between 5-7 p.m. to vote for your favorite RedDoor Gallery carved, painted or decorated pumpkin.
