Once Upon a Mattress uses catchy tunes to tell the raucous and often hilarious story of Prince Dauntless and his search for a suitable bride
Prairie High School drama students are busy putting the final touches on their first full production of the school year, Once Upon a Mattress, written by Mary Rodgers and Marshall Barer.
“We are having a ball finding all the fun in this silly and sweet, brilliant example of a fan favorite musical comedy,” said Prairie Drama’s director, Claire Verity.
Once Upon a Mattress uses catchy tunes to tell the raucous and often hilarious story of Prince Dauntless and his search for a suitable bride who can pass a series of impossible tests set up by Queen Aggravain. Can Winnifred Woebegone win the prince's heart, pass the impossible tests and remove the order that no one in the kingdom can marry until the prince is hitched? Find out this November!

Friday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 5, at 1 and 7 p.m.
Thursday and Friday, Nov. 10 and 11, at 7 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 12, at 1 and 7 p.m.
Tickets are available online and cost $6 for students, $15 for adults and $12 for senior citizens.
