We began today with the report of a thwarted terrorist attack aimed at Sunday night’s UFC event on the South Lawn of the White House. I want to add some important context.
The FBI says the planned attack would have had explosive drones hit buildings near the Freedom 250 event driving tens of thousands of people right in the direction of a sniper who could have picked off targets at will.
Five people have been arrested and two dozen suspects identified. A planned second wave of attacks would have hit the White House gate in an attempt to breach it. Donald Trump’s FBI and intelligence agencies stopped it … but I’d point out that Democrats did their best to put America at risk.
Way back in February, Democrats in Congress voted to defund Homeland Security. They claimed it was to stop ICE from enforcing immigration laws, but ICE funding was already locked in so it didn’t work.
Seventy-six days of DHS shutdown ended just 45 days ago. Democrats didn’t accomplish a single one of their pro illegal alien goals … but they did seriously compromise American national security.
